Seven Serie A players who could move in January

The January transfer window is now open, and there are a number of players who could change clubs in the market.

Already there have been a string of transfers involving Serie A clubs, with Inter signing Tajon Buchanan, Milan bringing back Matteo Gabbia, and Napoli selling Eljif Elmas.

Below we look at five prominent Serie A players to also keep an eye on in January.

Radu Dragusin (Genoa)

Tottenham are in talks to sign Radu Dragusin from Genoa, despite public denials from the player’s agent.

Genoa’s asking price is around €30-35m, with Tottenham still a way short of reaching that figure.

Nevertheless, this is a transfer Spurs want to complete as they are decimated at centre back.

Dragusin, who will turn 22 next month, has emerged as one of the most promising centre backs in Serie A this season. There is also interest in Italy from Napoli and Milan.

Lazar Samardzic (Napoli)

Napoli are closing in on the signing of Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic for a fee expected to be around €25 million.

There are still some details to agree so this isn’t a formality yet, but it is a transfer that is getting closer.

Napoli sold Eljif Elmas to Leipzig for €25m so Samardzic will be the North Macedonian star’s replacement.

Samardzic is one of Serie A’s most exciting young midfielders and has a big future.

Samuel Iling-Junior (Juventus)

Juventus need to sign a central midfielder in January after losing Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli for the rest of the season due to doping and betting bans, respectively.

But Juve need to raise cash before they can bring someone in and have earmarked Iling-Junior as their preferred player to sacrifice.

He is valued at around €20m and there is lots of interest in the Premier League from the likes of Tottenham and Crystal Palace.

Stefano Sensi (Inter)

Stefano Sensi has played just 27 minutes of football this season across three substitute appearances.

He is way down the pecking order at San Siro and way too good to not be playing.

With his contract expiring at the end of the season, Inter would accept a very small fee for a midfielder who when fit and in form remains a big talent.

Rade Krunic (Milan)

AC Milan rejected offers for Rade Krunic last summer as he was a favourite of manager Stefano Pioli.

However, with Krunic’s form having plummeted this season, Milan seem to have decided to sell in January.

A move to Fenerbahce is on the cards.

Dusan Vlahovic (Juventus)

Juventus attempted to sell Dusan Vlahovic during the summer transfer window and held talks with Chelsea over a swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku.

However, both teams couldn’t agree on the valuation of both players and Juventus ended up keeping Vlahovic.

The Serbian has continued to disappoint this season and Juventus are open to a sale of an offer in the region of €60-70m arrives.

A summer sale is probably more likely right now but a big offer from interested parties like Arsenal and Chelsea could give Juventus something to think about.

Sofyan Amrabat (Fiorentina>

After selling Krunic, Milan will look to sign another central midfielder.

The latest reports are that Sofyan Amrabat is an option.

Amrabat is still owned by Fiorentina, as he is on a season-long loan at Man Utd with an option to buy.

The Moroccan has struggled so far at United and, while unlikely, Milan could take over his loan until the end of the campaign.
