After an underwhelming third season in a row under Max Allegri, the experienced coach was let go following an embarrassing outburst in the Coppa Italia final and he has been replaced by Thiago Motta.

Juventus will also revolutionise areas of their team and playing squad, and will sign many more than just five players.

But here are five players Juventus could sign this summer…

Teun Koopmeiners (Atalanta)

The department of the field where Juventus will do most work this summer is the midfield.

Douglas Luiz and Khephren Thuram have already arrived, but Juventus are expected to sign at least one more central midfielder, with Adrien Rabiot having left, Paul Pogba banned, Carlos Alcaraz returning to Southampton, and possibly other exits.

The dream target is Atalanta’s Teun Koopmeiners, who has established himself as one of the best central midfielders in Serie A over recent years.

Koopmeiners has publicly stated he desires to leave this summer, but he will not come cheap at over €50 million and that could make a deal tricky given the interest of top Premier League clubs.

Ederson (Atalanta)

Given the cost of Koopmeiners and the outlay spent on Luiz, it is very possible that Juventus will target cheaper options in midfield.

One player they do like is Bologna’s Lewis Ferguson. The Scotsman has been one of the highest scoring midfielders in Serie A over the past two seasons. However, his recent serious injury means that the Bianconeri may now park that idea for the time being.

Instead they could return for Atalanta star Ederson, who will be slightly cheaper than Koopmeiners but no less impressive.

Ederson is also wanted by big Premier League teams.

Nico Gonzalez (Fiorentina)

Juventus are planning to switch to a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formation next season, and so are buying players for this new system.

The Bianconeri were in advanced talks to complete the free transfer signing of Felipe Anderson.

The Lazio winger, however, opted to return to Brazil with Palmeiras, so Juventus are looking at other targets now.

The Old Lady had also been in talks with Borussia Dortmund's Karim Adeyemi, but the move collapsed. Instead, Juventus are negotiating with Fiorentina over Nico Gonzalez.

Jadon Sancho (Man Utd)

Another winger considered by Juventus is Jadon Sancho.

The Serie A giants were already keen ahead of the January window but lost out to Borussia Dortmund.

They remain interested but will again struggle to sign him.

His recent rapprochement with Erik ten Hag means that Man Utd won't sell him for cheap and Juventus may struggle to match the demands.

Jean-Clair Todibo (Nice)

Juventus faced the choice between poaching Bologna's coach or their best defender. They chose the former, thus destroying the relationship between the two clubs.

This meant that Juventus missed out on top defensive target Riccardo Calafiori despite agreeing terms with him. He ultimately ended up at Arsenal.

In his stead, the Bianconeri are targeting Nice centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo. The player is keen on the move and Juventus are expected to beat West Ham to his signature.
