The 25-year-old failed to seal a late move to Chelsea during the summer transfer window and Paris Saint-Germain were also unable to agree a deal for the Nigerian.

As a result, Osimhen was expected to be stuck in limbo until at least January.

However, Galatasaray are now in negotiations with Napoli regarding a possible loan move for the Nigeria international, according to Gianluca Di Marzio and Fabrice Hawkins.

RMC Sport reporter Hawkins has confirmed that Galatasaray officially will travel to Naples today in order to continue talks, while Osimhen is happy to join the Turkish Super Lig club on loan.

Osimhen has scored 76 goals in 133 games for Napoli, but he looks to have played his last game for the club and a late move to Turkey is now on the cards.

While the summer transfer window has shut across Europe’s top five leagues, clubs in Turkey are able to conduct business until 13 September.

As a result, Galatasaray are able to sign Osimhen and a move could be completed if they can reach an agreement with Napoli.

What has Antonio Conte said about Victor Osimhen?

Following his failure to secure a move away from Napoli, Antonio Conte confirmed that Osimhen will not be re-integrated into the first-team squad.

Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku has arrived on a permanent deal and Conte is adamant that Osimhen will play no role in Naples.

The Italian told reporters: “NO player will be reintegrated.

“Those who are out of the project will remain out of the project. We made our choices and work in one direction all together.”

Lukaku scored on his Napoli debut against Parma and has also taken Osimhen’s No.9 shirt at the club.
