Liverpool could sell Federico Chiesa already in January
Liverpool could cut their losses on Federico Chiesa as early as the January transfer window after a difficult start to the Italian’s career in England.
Liverpool signed the Italian for just €15 million from Juventus this summer on a four-year contract.
However, Chiesa has had a miserable start to life at Liverpool with injuries and physical problems meaning he has barely made any impact.

Chiesa has played just 78 minutes of football this season over three appearances, including just one start that came in the EFL Cup. He has managed no goals and the one assist - a mishit shot.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has publicly admitted that Chiesa has struggled to adapt to the physical requirements of English football and is a long way from reaching the intensity needed.
Chiesa to Milan?
Milan Live report that Liverpool are already considering cutting their losses on Chiesa in January.
AC Milan are interested in making a move for the Italy winger, who has never been the same player ever since suffering an ACL tear in January 2022.
The report states that Liverpool could be open to a swap deal with midfielder Tijani Reijnders, although it seems improbable the Rossoneri would accept any offer unless there was a big cash sum handed to them also in the exchange.

Reijnders has been one of the best central midfielders in Serie A over the past year or so.
The 27-year-old Chiesa had been considered one of the best wingers in the world after starring in Italy’s Euro 2020 victory in 2021.
However, an ACL injury in January 2022 has slowed down his career and he has never refound his form ever since returning.
New Juventus manager Thiago Motta did not consider Chiesa part of his plans and put him up for sale this past summer in what was eventually a cut-price deal.
