Juventus could be forced to consider selling Kenan Yildiz this summer if they fail to qualify for the Champions League, with Premier League teams circling around the young forward.

The Italian giants currently sit fourth in Serie A, however they are level on points with fifth-placed Lazio and the club’s Champions League exit to PSV this week has raised alarm bells in Turin.

Having failed to find consistent form under Thiago Motta this season, Juve are in serious danger of missing out on next year’s Champions League and the club are preparing for the sales needed to ensure they can freely spend in the summer in such a case.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juve are looking to raise €100 million from sales this summer, with Andrea Cambiaso and Dusan Vlahovic the most likely candidates to depart.

However, sales for both players may still not be enough for Juve to balance their books and finance new signings, prompting an ‘alternative’ plan to sell Yildiz due to the value and interest in the Turkish wonderkid.

Juventus believe they can raise around €80-90m with the 19-year-old’s sale, particularly with strong interest from England, with one team in particular likely to stand out from the pack.

Arsenal could be best option for Yildiz to make Premier League move

Yildiz has been an integral part of Juve’s side this season, with only two outfielders featuring in more minutes than the winger and, while there is no footballing desire to cash in, the club are aware of the economical benefits his sale could bring.

Juve rejected a €60m bid from Chelsea for Yildiz last summer but, despite him recently signing a new contract until 2029, failure to secure Champions League football will force the club’s hand even with the player being happy to remain.

The likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool have also registered an interest in Yildiz but SciSports, who use data-driven analytics to assess a player, believe Arsenal could be the best fit for the playmaker if he left Juve.

The Gunners will be in the market for multiple forwards this summer and Yildiz’s versatility, combined with his potential and technical ability, could make him a shrewd investment for Mikel Arteta.

Juventus’ pricetag may prove preventative for many sides including Arsenal but the need to raise funds could give buying sides the edge, paving the way for a big money transfer for the in-demand prospect this summer.
