Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolo Barella and Lautaro Martinez appear destined to remain at San Siro, despite constant links with high-profile exits, however Simone Inzaghi may well see a number of key stars depart.

Below, FootballTransfers runs through five players who could leave Inter Milan this summer.

Davide Frattesi

Davide Frattesi appears almost guaranteed to leave Inter during the summer transfer window after struggling to break into Inzaghi’s preferred starting XI at San Siro.

The Italy international wanted to leave in January due to a lack of regular football, and although Inter blocked a transfer away mid-season, an exit at the end of the 2024-25 campaign is on the cards.

AS Roma are reportedly interested in completing a deal for Frattesi, while a number of other Serie A clubs may also push to sign him.

Hakan Calhanoglu

Hakan Calhanoglu has been an extremely reliable performer since his controversial arrival from arch-rivals AC Milan, however his performance level has dipped this season and Inter may look to offload him this summer.

Bayern Munich failed with a bid for the Turkey legend last year, but Inter have been tipped to consider offers this time around.

Calhanoglu only has two years remaining on his current contract with the Nerazzurri and at 31 years old, they could look to sell him this summer.

Marcus Thuram

Marcus Thuram joined Inter on a free transfer from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2023 and he has been a sensational signing for the Italian giants.

However, his form has attracted significant interest from a number of clubs across Europe, many of whom have been tipped to trigger the €85 million release clause in his current contract.

Inter will be desperate to keep the Frenchman, but they may have no choice but to sell him this summer.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s current deal at Inter is due to expire in 2026, although they have the option to release him this summer and they may opt to activate that clause.

The Armenian has been a fantastic servant for the club, but he is now 36 years old and his form has notably dipped over the past 12 months.

Inter could decide to keep Mkhitaryan as a reliable squad player, however the club will need to sign a long-term replacement and could offload him in order to clear space on their wage bill.

Matteo Darmian

Matteo Darmian is in the same position as Mkhitaryan, with his contract set to expire next summer and Inter potentially considering an early termination of his deal.

The 35-year-old is no longer a regular starter at San Siro and Inter may consider purchasing a young defender in order to replace him this summer.

His experience could be a useful asset next season, although the break clause in his current contract means an exit is possible.
