The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder was appointed as Massimiliano Allegri’s replacement last summer following a stellar stint in charge of Bologna, in which he guided them to Champions League qualification for the first time in six decades.

However, Motta has endured a difficult spell at Juventus and the Italian giants have finally opted to relieve him of his duties following a 4-0 loss to Atalanta and a 3-0 defeat to Fiorentina in their last two Serie A matches.

Juventus are currently fifth in the Italian top flight table, having picked up 52 points from 29 matches, while they were knocked out of the Champions League by PSV Eindhoven after a 4-3 aggregate loss in the play-off round.

The Old Lady have already confirmed that ex-Marseille boss and Juventus legend Igor Tudor has been hired as Motta’s replacement on a short-term deal until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
