How good is Timber?

Timber is a fine midfielder, and with a complete profile. He’s a box-to-box player, but is generally more sound in defense, contributing well to the team.

Sat in the Feyenoord midfield alongside Orkun Kokcu, he provides more defensive stability than his partner and can create a good balance in the Feyenoord team.

He’s a great passer and has the ability to break lines with his passes and can also dribble quite well, making him a useful asset to have when driving the ball forward from the back.

On the counter, because of the skills he possesses, he’s great in carrying the ball forward and helping his team out in that regard.

Last season, when he was playing at Utrecht, he completed the second-most dribbles out of any midfielder in the Eredivisie with 66.

His press resistance – the ability to play against the opposition when being pressed – is supremely impressive, and that asset would be welcomed at a top European club.

Speaking about his style of play, he said: “I am in my power when I can play from box-to-box, I'm honest about it. With Lutsharel Geertruida as controller, I can attack and defend. But a controlling role is also fine, because I am able to take a ball away.”

What clubs are interested in Timber?

Currently, there is no interest in Timber, but when he was at Utrecht, Netherlands’ big three were all eyeing up a move for him: Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord, where he eventually moved to.

The rate he’s going at, interest in him will be high and if he makes more appearances for his national team after the World Cup, then his stock will only continue to rise.

When does Timber’s contract expire?

Timber only joined Feyenoord over the summer and signed a four-year deal. His contract expires on 30 June 2026.

How old is Timber?

Timber was born on 17 June 2001. He is currently 21-years-old.

What is Timber’s Instagram?
