The sack race: Rodgers favourite but Chelsea and Liverpool legends under pressure
Brendan Rodgers is the hot favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked after his Leicester side crumbled to a 6-2 defeat away to Tottenham on Saturday – but Chelsea and Liverpool legends Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard are not safe from danger either.
Rodgers, though, is the runaway favourite to become the third Premier League manager sacked this season after Scott Parker was axed by Bournemouth and Thomas Tuchel was jettisoned by Chelsea in early September following a shock Champions League loss to Dinamo Zagreb.
The Northern Irishman saw his side slump to a miserable defeat in London, but over the course of the match they hinted that they were capable of better. Indeed, they opened the scoring early on and even levelled just before the break to make it 2-2.
A record of one point from seven matches, though, is a miserable one and increasingly looks like it will land the Foxes in deep relegation trouble.

Which Premier League managers are under pressure?
Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper is second favourite for the chop after the newly promoted club invested lavishly in the summer transfer market but has failed to back that up on the field.
Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard, meanwhile, is third favourite to go, although his side ground out an ugly 1-0 win over Southampton on Friday to somewhat ease the pressure on him.
Completing the leading five managers are Bruno Lage of Wolves and Frank Lampard of Everton. Both teams have grown accustomed to being in the mid-table area, yet they are both struggling to find form early in the season.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, meanwhile, is 25/1 to go next after a poor start to the season by his standards.
Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta and Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola are the two safest managers, at 80/1 and 150/1 respectively.
