As a result, he has become the highest-paid player in the history of the sport, and by some margin.

Ronaldo is set to make his Al-Nassr debut in an exhibition match against Paris Saint-Germain on January 19, as confirmed by manager Rudi Garcia.

He has already been unveiled in front of thousands of fans and after making the move, Ronaldo spoke out against those who have criticised him for signing for the Saudi Arabian club.

"Many people speak and give their opinions but they really do not know nothing about football. As you know football now, probably the last 10-15 years it is different, all the teams are more prepared, more ready," he said.

"So for me it's not the end of my career to come to [Saudi Arabia], that's what I want to change. So I really don't worry about what the people say."

The former Real Madrid forward netted just three goals in 16 appearances for Man Utd in the first-half of the 2022/23 season.
