Cristiano Ronaldo SLAMMED for celebration and stat padding
Former Al-Nassr player Adrian Mierzejewski has taken to Twitter to mock Cristiano Ronaldo due to the latter's failure to lead his club to silverware this season.
In terms of personal performances, Cristiano Ronaldo has started life in Saudi Arabia like a house on fire, and that was again evident last Friday when the 38-year-old found the back of the net once again in Al-Nassr's 4-0 demolition of mid-table side Al-Raed. His latest strike in the Saudi Pro League took his tally to 12 goals in as many games.
Nevertheless, for all his personal ups on the pitch, there have also been downs at the team level. A few weeks ago, Al-Nassr were defeated by Al-Hilal, the club linked with Lionel Messi, in a fierce Riyadh Derby, which put a premature end to Ronaldo's title hopes.
Not long after, the Portuguese and his teammates were embarrassingly knocked out of the King Cup of Champions by relegation-battling Al-Wehda after which Ronaldo was criticised by an opponent for being a sore loser.

An attitude problem has also been evident off the pitch, with Ronaldo reportedly playing an outsized role in the sacking of Rudi Garcia as well as publicly lambasting a member of staff shortly thereafter.
What did Mierzejewski say?
In light of the off-pitch drama and Ronaldo's stat-padding against weaker sides but failure to deliver in big matches, former Al-Nassr midfielder Adrian Mierzejewski decided to ridicule the megastar for his performance against Al-Raed.
Quote-tweeting a video of Ronaldo doing his familiar celebration, the Pole mockingly wrote: "That moment when you lost the Supercup, you were eliminated in the semi-final of the Copa, you lost the derby to Hilal, which means no championship 99%, but you scored against Al Raed and your team won 4-0."

A journeyman midfielder with 41 Polish caps to his name, Mierzejewski spent two years with Al-Nassr between 2014 and 2016, winning one league title. He has been playing in China for the past few years after stints in the United Arab Emirates and with Sydney FC in Australia.
