Mbappe’s Ronaldo INSULT after Al-Hilal’s record transfer bid

Kylian Mbappe would rather sit in the stands at PSG than go to the Saudi Pro League and play for Al-Hilal, effectively rubbishing Cristiano Ronaldo’s claims that the big-spending division is the place to be.

Ronaldo claimed after Al-Nassr had a lost a friendly 5-0 against Celta that he is leading a footballing revolution by moving to the up-and-coming division.

Mbappe, though, would rather sit in the stands at Parc des Princes than receive a world-record salary to turn out for Al-Hilal and challenge the Real Madrid and Manchester United legend, at least according to Spanish source Relevo.

Mbappe is in the midst of a major battle with PSG that is set to end with him departing the club as a free agent in 2024, and he is even ready to turn down an astonishing offer from the Saudi Pro League in order to do so.

The France international star wants to play the season in the French capital before departing to Real Madrid at the end of his deal, with PSG even of the belief that the 24-year-old has an agreement in place with the Bernabeu side.

Mbappe to REJECT Al-Hilal offer

Al-Hilal are trying to profit from the situation by luring Mbappe to the Saudi Pro League with the most lavish contract sport has ever seen.

French sources indicate that PSG have accepted a world-record €300 million bid from the Gulf side, but a deal cannot be struck unless the striker agrees personal terms.

Al-Hilal have reportedly been willing to offer Mbappe an astonishing €700m for just one year – but the France star is so against playing in Saudi Arabia, he will not even move for a wage packet that represents 20 times his current take-home pay.

An unnamed source told Relevo: “These things do nothing more than reinforce the determination of the player, who has a one-year contract that cannot be ignored. If he has to stay on the bench, he’ll stay, and we’ll see how long it lasts because the Champions League comes soon.

“If PSG win, all good, but how do you have a player like that in the stands if things don’t go well.”

If Mbappe is indeed willing to forego such a sum to remain at PSG on a point of principle, it rubbishes Ronaldo’s claim that the Saudi Pro League is the place to be.
