WWE working on EXCITING Ronaldo deal
World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is trying hard to get football megastar Cristiano Ronaldo to appear at an upcoming event in Saudi Arabia.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner changed Saudi football forever when he signed for Al-Nassr after his controversial Manchester United exit, kickstarting a wave of massive investment in the domestic Pro League that culminated in Neymar, Karim Benzema and a whole host of other superstars trading Europe for the Middle East.
Soon, Ronaldo could also leave his mark on a different sport - wrestling. According to Spanish outlet AS, WWE is "working to secure an appearance by soccer great Cristiano Ronaldo" at the Crown Jewel show in Riyadh in November.

The CR7 guest appearance appears to be part of a new strategy aimed at boosting the revenue and profile of the WWE from its new ownership. The famous wrestling company was acquired by UFC-owning Endeavour back in April and they are looking to make the WWE even more popular, particularly outside of the US.
Ronaldo in Saudi
The upcoming edition will be the WWE's second Crown Jewel show in Saudi Arabia this year alone and getting arguably the Pro League's biggest star to show up will certainly make the event attractive to the local populace.
However, the report also mentions that the Portuguese will likely command a hefty appearance fee. WWE has thus far refused to comment on the rumours.

The 38-year-old has started the new Pro League season like a house on fire, scoring seven times and recording four assists in just five games. Yet Al-Nassr only sit in 6th after a poor start to the season, below the likes of Al-Tawoun and Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq, two clubs that did not enjoy the same level of investment in the summer.
Ronaldo was most recently in action on Tuesday (September 19) as Al-Nassr beat Iranian giants Persepolis 2-0 in the ACL Champions League.
