Neymar’s transfer to Al-Hilal has not been short of controversy, with the Brazilian have faced numerous challenges since completing a €90 million summer move from PSG.

On the field, it has been claimed that he has already asked for Al-Hilal head coach Jorge Jesus to be sacked, while he is still waiting for his first goal for his new club after three appearances.

Away from the park, meanwhile, he has been dogged by further claims of infidelity by his girlfriend Bruna Biancardi after he admitted cheating on her during the summer.

His move to the Saudi Pro League, meanwhile, has been overshadowed by rumours that he has made some outrageous demands with regards his contract, and as he was presented with his new home, he joked about just this.

Taking to Instagram, he said: “I came here to see the house. I’m upset by it because it doesn’t have 25 rooms like I asked for, it doesn’t have a garage with eight cars and some other things. But it’s good, isn’t it?”

Neymar was deliberately mocking those reports that claimed he had made lavish demands regarding his home.

Neymar fined €3m after house controversy

Neymar has previously been involved in controversy with his house back in Brazil.

He built a mansion in Rio de Janeiro that boasts multiple swimming pools, a custom-built go-kart track, a tennis court and a private lake among other amenities.

Brazilian outlet UOL Sport reported that his father, Neymar Sr was arrested for “environmental crime” after carrying out “banned” work on the house.

It emerged in July that Neymar was found to have committed “dozens” of breaches of environmental rules regarding the use and movement of freshwater sources, rock and sand.

He was fined €3 million after a complaint was raised following a video that he posted on Instagram of the lake.

Neymar declined to comment on the matter.
