Neymar is COOKED as Jesus delivers brutal message
Neymar’s Al-Hilal coach Jorge Jesus has sensationally announced that the Brazilian’s career at the top level is over following the confirmation that he will not be registered for the second half of the Saudi Pro League season.
Neymar, 32, joined the Saudi side in an astonishing €90 million deal from PSG in the summer of 2023 but has managed just a couple of appearances for the club, despite being on a lucrative contract.
The majority of his woes have been driven by an ACL injury he sustained playing for Brazil, and it appears that this problem has spelt the end of Neymar as a world-class talent.
Speaking on Thursday, Jesus said: “He can no longer play at the level we’re used to.”
Neymar is out of contract with Al-Hilal in June, and with no prospect of a renewal of his enormous deal, other options are being explored.
Fabrizio Romano: Neymar could leave Al-Hilal in January
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that a switch to MLS and the Chicago Fire is something that could interest the former Barcelona and PSG player, with the possibility of a deal coming to fruition as early as this month even possible.
“Neymar could really consider leaving Al-Hilal immediately. It’s a strong possibility. It depends on the negotiations. He’s got a big salary, a big contract.
“In the last 24 hours, we’ve had many reports about MLS side Chicago Fire. What’s the reality of it? Chicago Fire have big interest in Neymar, but according to my information, there’s been no green light to advance in talks. Neymar has not opened doors. But we have to keep an eye on him because again he could leave Al-Hilal now, so there could be a surprise on the market for sure.”
Neymar has reportedly demanded that his salary in MLS match that of Inter Miami star Lionel Messi, so Jorge Jesus’ comments indicating that he is past his best are unlikely to have been welcomed by the Brazilian.
