Arsenal star to follow Edu in quitting for Premier League rivals
Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus could follow Brazilian compatriot Edu Gaspar out of the door in January in order to join Newcastle.
That is according to Fichajes, who report that Newcastle are looking to take advantage of Jesus losing a key ally at the Emirates.
Arsenal sporting director Edu Gaspar shocked the football world on Monday when he officially quit his role to join Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis' multi-club network.

Together with Marinakis, Edu will now oversee Nottingham Forest, Olympiacos and Rio Ave and be tasked with adding clubs to the Greek businessman's budding footballing empire.
His departure could now have a knock-on effect in the transfer market.
Gabriel Jesus to leave Arsenal?
Jesus was a big signing of Edu’s at Arsenal when he joined from Man City for over €50 million in the summer of 2022.

The Brazilian enjoyed an excellent start to his Gunners career. However, over time a combination of a lack of goals and fitness issues have seen Jesus fall down the pecking order.
So much so that manager Mikel Arteta now prefers playing a natural midfielder in Kai Havertz as a false nine rather than starting Jesus.
The exit of Edu should hasten Jesus’ exit with Newcastle ready to make an offer in the January transfer market. Arsenal value Jesus at €65m.
Arsenal had been in negotiations this past summer with Leipzig for Benjamin Sesko, and believed that a deal was all but done - with only some formalities to complete before the 21-year-old would agree on personal terms.
In the end Sesko signed a new contract with Leipzig but the Gunners remain interested ahead of the summer of 2025 and could return for the striker as an upgrade on Jesus.
The 27-year-old Jesus has scored just 20 goals in 82 appearances for Arsenal.
Last season was something of a disappointment as he scored just four Premier League goals and eight in all competitions.
He has just one goal in 2024-25.
