What did Caicedo say?

"Last season, I had the pressure of being the new N’Golo Kanté,” Caicedo told Ole.

"That affected me a lot, but when I put that behind me, I started to focus only on helping my team and proving that I am worth what they paid for my transfer.”

Caicedo has played 16 games in all competitions for Chelsea this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists.

His brilliant performances have played a key role in Chelsea challenging near the top of the Premier League.

Chelsea are currently joint-second heading into Sunday’s matches and a win at Tottenham would see the Blues move to just four points behind leaders Liverpool.

Caicedo initially developed into one of the best central midfielders in the Premier League at Brighton, helping them qualify for Europe for the first time in their history in 2022-23..

He also impressed for Ecuador at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, although his nation were eliminated in the group stages.
