Five players who could replace Lacazette at Arsenal
Arsenal's French forward Alexandre Lacazette looks set to leave the club in January after breaking his silence on his ongoing contract situation.
Lacazette has a deal at the Emirates until next summer meaning he can speak to other clubs at the start of January.
It will be The Gunner's last chance to make any money from any potential transfer as they hope to avoid allowing the player to leave for free at the end of the season.
If Lacazette does move on next month, Arsenal will look to replace him as soon as possible and here, FootballTransfers looks after five players who would be a good fit for manager Mikel Arteta.
Luka Jovic - Real Madrid
Jovic moved to Real as a wonderkid for £56.7 million in 2019 after a stellar time at Eintracht Frankfurt, scoring 27 goals in 48 appearances.
But it hasn't worked out for the Serbian internationalist at the Bernabeu and the temptation of playing in the Premier League could tempt the player.
He currently has a market value of €20 million and, at 23-years-old, could look to kick-start his career at the Emirates.
Mauro Icardi - PSG
Icardi's 124 goals for Inter Milan were enough to convince PSG to part with €50m to seal his permanent signing in 2020 on a four year deal.
But it was always going to be difficult for Icardi to really establish himself in Paris when competing with the likes of Kylian Mpabbe, Neymar and now Lionel Messi.
Despite this, he has contributed 36 goals in 76 appearance for PSG.
However, his desire to be a regular first team starter in a World Cup year may help push him toward the PSG exit door.
For Arsenal, it would be a big name signing and add real quality and goals to the squad.
Icardi, 28 is valued at €41M but PSG may go as low as €31M.
Goncalo Guedes - Valencia
A move for Guedes makes sense for several reasons.
Guedes is still only 24-years-old and is valued at just €20M.
He is known as a wide playmaker and has helped out Valencia with three goals and three assists.
Lucas Paqueta - Lyon
The Brazilian left-footed playmaker has been linked with Arsenal in the past and should Lacazette move on could finally make the move to London.
Paqueta, 24, has scored six times in 18 appearances and also earned 28 caps for Brazil.
He is valued at €29M which puts him into the Arsenal spending bracket.
Paco Alcacer - Villareal
It feels like Paco Alcacer has been on the European footballing stage forever but he is yet to ply his trade in the Premier League.
A move to Dortmund in 2019 didn't quite work out and he returned to Spain with Villareal just six months later.
Valued at €21M, Arteta may see the value in his countryman who has found himself a bit-part player under Unai Emery.
