Juventus hoping to end Martial Manchester United hell
Manchester United outcast Anthony Martial may be given a career lifeline by Italian giants Juventus in January.
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, The Old Lady are lining up a move for Martial soon and hope to secure his services for around £40 million.
Martial moved to United from Monaco for £54 million in 2015.
Struggles under Solskjaer
And he burst onto the scene when scoring on his debut in a 3-1 win over bitter rivals Liverpool.
But he has struggled for game time in recent seasons and appears to have fallen out of favour with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
He's played just seven times in 2021/22 so far and only five times in the Premier League.
That has clubs around Europe alerted to the prospect he could be allowed to leave in January.
And Juventus are also considering the loan route when it comes to any deal for Martial, in the hope it will reduce any future transfer fee.
The Italians have struggled to fill the big boots left by Cristiano Ronaldo's move in the opposite direction to United last summer.
And they fancy Martial to add a bit of depth after finding themselves relying heavily on Paulo Dybala as they struggle this season.
Should Martial leave Man United?
With Martial now behind Ronaldo, Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford and Jaden Sancho, it seems it is now time to leave the club where he made his name.
It is clear Solskjaer isn't a fan and a move to Italy could be the chance to revive his faltering career.
It is a move that worked for the likes of Romelu Lukaku who left Manchester for Milan and Inter before moving back to Chelsea.
Martial was linked with a move to Serie A in the summer with Inter, but any move failed to materialise.
And, at still only 25 years old, the Frenchman still has plenty of football left in his legs with his peak years still in front of him.
