Keane: Man City defeat WORSE than Liverpool demolition for Man Utd

Roy Keane believes Manchester United's 2-0 defeat against Manchester City in the derby at Old Trafford was actually a worse performance than the game against Liverpool which the Red Devils lost 5-0.
A couple of weeks ago, Man Utd were demolished by arch-rivals Liverpool in the Premier League, with huge pressure being piled on manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer afterwards.
The Norwegian earned a slight reprieve with a win versus Tottenham, though his team would stumble again, having to rely on a late equaliser just to draw against Atalanta in the Champions League.
Against another quality side in Man City, the home side were completely outclassed in every department.
City would eventually win the game 2-0 with both goals coming in the first half via an Eric Bailly own goal and a Bernardo Silva finish after some horrendous defending from Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and David de Gea.
But, the scoreline does not tell the full story as Man Utd did not lay a glove on City, with Pep Guardiola's side treating the last 30 minutes of the match almost like a low key training exercise.
City popped the ball around confidently, while United offered nothing.
Should certain teams below them win this weekend, Man Utd could drop to as low as ninth before the international break.
Even though the scoreline against Man City compared to Liverpool looks more positive on paper, Keane believes it is worse, due to how dominant the visitors were.
What did Keane say?
Speaking on Sky Sports following the result, Keane said:
"It felt worse [than the Liverpoool loss].
"You go in at halftime, game all over. Of course, City are a different type of team to Liverpool.
"They were quite happy just to keep the ball, and they just toyed with United. So, poor, the difference in class. Quality, decision making, everything.
"It was men versus boys. United are so awful it's unbelievable.
"[Phil Foden, in an interview after the match] mentioned there it is a tough place to come - it's not. Ask Everton, ask Aston Villa, ask Liverpool.
"Teams are coming here and getting joy now.
"Their home form, their performance. Just so poor, just so poor."
Keane then singled out Scott McTominay and Fred for criticism, saying the pair aren't Man Utd quality.
"McTominay, Fred," the Irishman continued.
"These players aren't good enough for Manchester United.
"It was so comfortable for Man City."
