Solskjaer adamant his Man Utd job is safe ahead of Watford test

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted that it was a “long” international break after his side’s defeat to Manchester City, but is adamant that his Manchester United side are ready to turn their form around and save his job.
The Old Trafford side currently sit sixth in the Premier League table after picking up just four points from their last five league games.

Such a poor run of form was only compounded by convincing defeats at the hands of the club’s two fiercest rivals, Liverpool and Man City, prior to the international break.
As such, reports in England have been suggesting for some time now that Solskjaer is edging towards the exit door at Man Utd and could be just a few more bad results away from losing his job.
However, ahead of Saturday’s clash with Watford, the Man Utd boss remained adamant that he had the backing of the club’s board and that his players were still committed to turning their season around.
'We're ready for the Watford game'
"Of course, I've been in contact and communicated with the club as I do all the time anyway, it's been a long international break but it's one that we've utilised to our benefit,” said Solskjaer in a press conference on Friday.
“We feel it's been a good response from the players and we're ready for the Watford game."
He added: "International breaks are always periods to refresh and to keep working on different things and this time around we've had a few players having to pull out.
“So quite a few of them have been here doing individual sessions, recovery sessions, some players were allowed to go abroad to visit families.
“It's always the case when everyone comes in everyone's bright and ready. This week has been a good week, we've had a chance to work with everyone on quite a few things."
