What Man Utd players are out of contract?
We are now just 10 days away from the opening of the January transfer window.
That doesn’t only mean that Premier League clubs – and those all over Europe – will be able to splash the cash once again for a whole month.
It also means that players whose contracts expire at the end of the 2021-22 season will be permitted to open talks with other clubs and negotiate a Bosman Transfer.

So which Man Utd players are set to leave on a free transfer with their contracts expiring in June 2022?

There are six Man United players in total whose contracts run out at the end of the current season.
The biggest name of all, of course, is Paul Pogba. The Frenchman has ended all contract negotiations with Man Utd and it seems almost certain he will depart the club on a Bosman for the second time in his career – having previously joined Juventus on a free in 2012.
The three clubs vying for Pogba’s signature are PSG, Real Madrid and Juventus again.
Jesse Lingard’s deal is also up at the end of the season and he is also unlikely to pen an extension.
The Englishman wants more regular action and has seen very little action in 2021-22. There are plenty of Premier League clubs interested in his services, including West Ham – where he spent a successful six months on loan earlier this year.
Edinson Cavani’s contract is also expiring and he will definitely leave in 2022. It is very possible the Uruguayan could move on for a small fee in January, with interest abroad from the likes of Barcelona and Juventus.
Juan Mata turns 34 next year and, given his lack of game time, will surely not be offered a new contract.
Backup goalkeeper Lee Grant turns 39 and will also move on, while youngster Tahith Chong could stay for another year as the club has an option for a further season on his expiring deal.
