Amad Diallo, Shola Shoretire and Hannibal Mejbri are three very highly-rated youngsters currently playing with Man Utd’s Under-23 side.

Diallo has hit the headlines over the last month following his €40 million transfer from Atalanta.

The teenage winger has even been compared to Lionel Messi by his former Atalanta team-mate Papu Gomez.

However, he is not the only starlet with a potentially exciting future ahead of him. Winger Shoretire – who became the youngest player to ever feature in the UEFA Youth League at just 14 – is also very highly regarded.

Meanwhile, Mejbri cost Man Utd €10m from Monaco in 2019 and has also been impressing in Premier League 2 Division One.

“They have to keep their heads clean, because it’s easy to come into the first team and your head goes a little bit, and it’s also hard when you have to go back and train and play with the other teams again,” Fernandes told Man Utd’s official club website.

“I was in that position some years ago and I know it’s hard, but if you work and are humble and you understand that every time you play is a chance, no matter where you are playing, every time is a chance to show you are ready or that you want to make that next step.

“For us as a team, it’s important that when they come [to train with us] that they come to help us and learn from everyone and also give the qualities they have to the team.

“If they come to the first team it’s because they have something good and that is something that can help us.”

Diallo, Shoretire and Mejbri were all involved with Man Utd’s first-team preparation for Sunday’s Premier League match against West Brom.
