I spoke to Pogba about Mourinho problems – Ndombele

Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has revealed that he spoke to Paul Pogba about his problems with manager Jose Mourinho.

Ndombele endured a difficult start to his career in London after arriving from Lyon in 2019 but is enjoying an outstanding 2020/21 season.

The midfielder endured a difficult relationship with Mourinho at the start of last season, with the Portuguese manager publicly criticising him at times.

And Ndombele, who has admitted that he wanted to leave the club at the time, says that he even spoke to Pogba about his problems with Mourinho.

Pogba himself also had a rocky relationship with The Special One while the pair worked together at Man Utd between 2016 and 2018.

“We spoke, we spoke about that but really quickly,” Ndombele told Football London.

“It wasn’t like he gave me any advice because our situations were completely different.

“It’s true he worked with Mourinho but my own experiences weren’t the same and each relationship has its own characteristics.”

Ndombele has been one of Tottenham’s best players this season and he started in the 4-0 Premier League win over Burnley on Sunday.
