‘Ben White becomes Ben Red’ - Arsenal fans react to £50m signing
Arsenal fans have extra cause for Friday feeling due to their club completing the signing of Ben White from Brighton – the Gunners’ first truly game-changing deal of the summer.
Nuno Tavares has joined from Benfica and Albert Sambi Lokonga has arrived from Anderlecht, but White is the first new face who is expected to play a major role in Mikel Arteta’s starting XI next season.
The 23-year-old only has one season of Premier League football under his belt, but after impressing with the Seagulls last season sufficiently to win England honours, there are hopes that he will develop into a lynchpin of this team.
Unsurprisingly, there is a good deal of excitement among fans, who believe he will prove to be a dynamite addition to the team.

Man Utd jibes shot down
Meanwhile, Manchester United fans mocking the deal for being more expensive than the one that will see Raphael Varane join up at Old Trafford have been shot down.
If your club paid £58M for a 19yr old Anthony Martial in 2015, £52M for Fred and £80M for Harry Maguire who's only achievement at the time was getting relegated 4 times, then you have no business at all questioning Ben White's fee. Sit this one out. pic.twitter.com/axMioAqw4I

Some fans also suggested it could be the end for William Saliba at Arsenal, given that the young Frenchman does not appear to be in Arteta’s plans and has already been shipped out to Marseille this season.
Furthermore, White has taken his No.4 jersey.
