Chelsea may already be regretting losing 18-year-old starlet Tino Livramento as the right-back has enjoyed a fantastic start to the season for Southampton.

Livramento left Chelsea, with whom he spent 12 years as a youth team player, for just £5 million this past summer.

In his last full season with the Chelsea youth team he recorded an impressive 13 assists and three goals in 26 appearances.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel praised Livramento and fellow youth player Tino Anjorin.

Livramento joined Chelsea's youth ranks as an Under-9 and steadily progressed through the age groups.

The 18-year-old opted to leave Chelsea this past summer in search of first-team football, joining Southampton for £5m.

He made an excellent start to the season, scoring in the 2-2 draw with Burnley on October 23 at St Mary's.

According to Goal, RB Leipzig, Milan and Brighton were interested in Livramento in addition to Southampton.

The player thought long and hard about his future but ultimately believd he would not be give the opportunities at first-team level at Chelsea, at least not anytime soon.

The Blues already hadReece James, Cesar Azpilicueta and Callum Hudson-Odoi who can play in his wing-back role.

However, the decision to pursue Inter star Achraf Hakimi, a specialised wing-back, for €70m, is thought to be a major contributing factor in Livramento's decision to leave.
