PSG planning for Mbappeâs Real Madrid move as Premier League striker is lined up
Kylian Mbappe could yet move to Real Madrid this summer and Paris Saint-Germain are planning for exactly that eventuality.
While the prospect of Madrid making an offer that PSG deem as acceptable for Mbappe remains a distant one, it is not something that the Ligue 1 club have discounted.
Nevertheless, that Parisians are planning a potential succession plan for the World Cup winner and are eyeing up a Premier League forward to replace the 22-year-old.
Mbappe to Real Madrid looking increasingly possible
According to RMC, the prospect of Madrid making an offer that PSG will accept is a âhuge obstacleâ to any move.
Nevertheless, it is noted that if an offer from the Spanish side is accepted, the chances of Mbappe going to the Spanish capital is high.
Mbappeâs relationship with PSG sporting director Leonardo continues to be a difficult one and he has not even responded to the five-year (plus one-year optional) contract that has been offered to him by the sporting director, according to the source.
Real Madrid are formulating an offer for PSG but have yet to make an official approach. Indeed, the only team to have made a concrete bid is an unnamed Premier League side.
Meanwhile, adding fuel to the fire that Mbappe may finally be on his way from the club is the news that PSG are seriously eyeing up alternatives to the young forward in attack.
The name being linked with them is Everton striker Richarlison, who is a close friend of Neymar.
However, if Mbappe remains a PSG player on 1 September, the Ligue 1 side will launch a further offensive to tie him down to a new contract but may be forced to give up hope by January, at which point the forward will be available to discuss terms over a free transfer when his contract expires in June 2022.
