Paul Pogba insists he is "very happy" at Manchester United, with the World Cup winner addressing questions about his future at Old Trafford.

The Frenchman is never too far away from transfer speculation, with rumours becoming more intense last season after his agent Mino Raiola sensational claimed during the season that Pogba's time at Man Utd was up.

Pogba has also in the past expressed a desire to one day play for Real Madrid.

He remains a Man Utd player for the moment, though, and has enjoyed the best start to a season in his career with the club, putting in a string of magnificent performances.

In the opening match of the season versus Leeds, he was unplayable and recorded four assists.

United have seven points out of nine so far, and strengthened in the summer with the acquisitions of Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and now Cristiano Ronaldo.

Pogba himself believes this is the strongest squad he has been a part of at Old Trafford.

"There have always been strong Manchester United teams, but this is definitely the strongest [I've played in]," he told TV2.

"It is obviously in this club's DNA to win trophies. We have a strong team that can become champions. We know how hard it is, but we will do our best to lift the trophy this season."

When asked directly about a potential move away from the club, Pogba dodged the question, but assured fans he is happy.

"To be honest, I am very happy, I enjoy myself. The Premier League is back, I play football again after a nice holiday, so it is very, very good," he said.

"There is a huge difference from last season. Last season I had corona[virus] and no seasonal run-up, so it took a long time to get back in shape. This season I have trained, I have had a good start and I have been healthy. I feel much better and it makes a huge difference physically."

Pogba on Solskjaer

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the current manager of Man United, and has been praised for improving the team from the days of Jose Mourinho even though he is yet to win a major trophy since taking over in December of 2018.

Pogba believes the Norwegian is the right man to end the drought, though.

"Yes for sure," he responded when asked if Solskjaer was indeed the man.

"He is the manager of this club for this reason. He knows the players and has got the ability to do it. I'm sure he is in the position to do that.

"I have known Ole for a long time and we have always had a good relationship, and he is good with all the other players as well. He was here as a player, so he knows the club very well. It has been very good since he came in."
