Renato Sanches: I’m ready for Arsenal
Renato Sanches has admitted that he is ready to leave Lille and has acknowledged the interest from Arsenal and AC Milan.
Sanches exploded onto the scene at Euro 2016, but then spent several years struggling to find his form with Bayern Munich and Swansea following that dramatic introduction.
His move to Lille in 2020 has resurrected his career, winning the French title last season and helping his team the Champions League last 16.
That form has led to Sanches being linked with many of Europe’s biggest clubs again, with Arsenal and Milan reported to be at the front of the queue.
And the midfielder says he feels he is ready to join a top team once more.
What did Renato Sanches say?
“Maybe Milan and Arsenal are interested, but I don’t know,” he told Metro.
“I spoke with my agent. I know which clubs are calling me, but I can’t say right now.

“But I know I’m ready. If an offer comes in, I’ll find out what’s best for me.”
Arsenal are in the market for a central midfielder in the January transfer market, with their preferred option being Arthur Melo from Juventus.
However, Mikel Arteta admitted at the weekend that they are finding it difficult to close a deal for the Brazilian.
As a result, Arsenal are looking elsewhere at alternative options.
The same is so in attack with Arsenal set to miss out on top striker target Dusan Vlahovic.
Vlahovic is understood to have rejected Arsenal in order to sign for Juventus in a €67 million deal.
