11 players who want to quit Man Utd in January
Manchester United suffered a first defeat under interim boss Ralf Rangnick on Monday, and now it appears the German manager is facing a fight to keep many first-team players.
The fallout from the 1-0 loss to Wolves has continued to snowball after the West Midlands club dominated the game at Old Trafford.
And now The Mirror report as many as 11 squad members have become disillusioned with life at the club and want to leave.
Rumours of cliques forming between players and a bad atmosphere in the dressing room continue to surround the club with talk that many aren't happy with Rangnick's coaching or tactics.
What players want to leave Man United
Donny van de Beek is looking for the exit door after failing to hold down a regular first-team spot since his arrival from Ajax in summer 2020.
And Jesse Lingard holds similar frustrations, with the pair failing to start a Premier League game this season.
Goalkeeper Dean Henderson has publicly stated his hope to leave United in January to seek first-team football with a World Cup at the end of the year.
And Eric Bailly has only started two Premier League matches this campaign, with Phil Jones coming in from the cold to replace Harry Maguire against Wolves.
Despite only returning to Old Trafford in August 2021, there has been consistent speculation that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave, and he is thought to be one of the reasons the dressing room has become so strained.
Paul Pogba is now free to speak to other clubs with his current contract ending in the summer, and at 28-years-old, is being linked with his dream move to Real Madrid or a return to former club Juventus.
For any team to be described like this is terrible….but by a player who participated it’s a damning reflection on the team! 🤷🏽♂️ https://t.co/smoqqR55Q8

Luke Shaw questioned the mentality of the squad after the Wolves defeat, and he may need to leave United to kickstart his career, with Rangnick reportedly not a fan of the England left-back.
Others likely to leave in the January transfer window are first-team outcasts Anthony Martial and Juan Mata, along with Diogo Dalot, who has failed to dislodge Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back following a successful loan spell with Milan last season.
Edinson Cavani has been linked with a move to Barcelona, where he is likely to start more games than at Old Trafford.
Comings and goings at United
There are going to be many exits and arrivals through the revolving Manchester United transfer door in the coming months, and many believe that a massive overhaul of the squad is required.
With a new permanent manager due in the summer, the Man Utd starting XI come September 2022 is likely to be very different to the one on display currently.
