There would have been very few happy faces in the Rangers dressing round after their 3-3 draw with Ross County on Saturday, but Amad Diallo would have certainly been one of them.

Although the Ibrox giants were held to a bitter draw in the league, the on-loan Manchester United forward wasted no time impressing the fans of his new club with a goal after just five minutes for Rangers.

Indeed, the goal came about in the flash of an eye, when midfielder Joe Aribo broke forward and found the new Rangers man with the easiest of tap-ins.

Not only was it a debut goal for Diallo but it was also a goal with his first touch of the ball. A feat that was only matched by his debut for Manchester United, when he scored with his very first touch of the ball against Milan.

And although Giovanni van Bronckhorst will regret not seeing his side pick up all three points on the day, he’ll be delighted that he gave the young forward a starting role in his team.

Reaction to Diallo’s goal

As can certainly be expected, more eyes than usual were on the Scottish Premiership match due to the lack of domestic football in England on the day. And as such, a number of Man Utd fans took great delight in seeing their young prospect hit the ground running north of the border.
