Manchester United have not yet made a satisfactory offer for Denis Zakaria, and Juventus are currently the favourites for his signature.

Zakaria will leave Borussia Monchengladbach this year having made it clear that he will not be renewing his contract that expires this summer.

The central midfielder will either move on a Bosman Transfer for nothing in June or he will depart for small fee in January.

A number of top European clubs are interested in signing Zakaria, including Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Roma.

Who will Denis Zakaria join?

John Solano of The Italian Football Podcast, who is one of Roma’s most-connected journalists and has a close relationship with Zakaria’s entourage, has revealed the current transfer status regarding the 25-year-old.

Solano says that, contrary to reports elsewhere on Tuesday, Zakaria has not received a suitable offer from Man Utd or any other Premier League team and that right now Juventus are the favourites to sign him if he moves this month.

“Over the past two to three months, Zakari’s transfer situation has changed very dramatically,” Solano told The Italian Football Podcast.

“Roma could have tied up a deal for Zakaria very quickly if he had kept his previous agent Fali Ramadani.

“Ramadani has a very strong relationship with Roma and the Giallorossi’s transfer director Tiago Pinto. They speak very often.

“However, Zakaria sacked Ramadani and his new agent Ali Dorsun works for an agency called HSM that is owned by another agent called Hasan Cetinkaya, who has a bad relationship with Roma and had a big falling out with Roma.

“So Zakaria to Roma is off now.

“Juventus is a very strong possibility. I am told that the Premier League is his preferred destination but until now he doesn’t have a satisfactory offer from the Premier League.

“Juve have presented him with an offer and he’s a great midfielder.

“Zakaria’s father is asking for a big commission, though.”

Zakaria joined Borussia Monchengladbach from Young Boys in 2017 and has since made over 100 Bundesliga appearances, scoring 11 goals.
