Liverpool will have big plans for the summer transfer window but before they can bring in new players they’ll likely have to sell some first.

One such player that could move on at the end of this season is none other than midfielder Naby Keita.

The 27-year-old talent has been a bit-part member of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side for a number of years now and hasn’t quite managed to nail down the first team spot that many hoped he would.

According to Calciomercato, the former RB Leipzig talent has been a transfer target for Juventus for quite some time, with Barcelona and Bayern Munich also keeping tabs on the player’s availability.

So if the Anfield club do decide to sell Keita in the summer, how much should they hope to make from the midfielder?

How much is Keita worth?

Although Keita has never managed to establish himself as a regular starter for Liverpool, he’s also rarely truly disappointed for the English club and as such he would be sold as a solid Premier League player.

Come the summer transfer window, the midfielder will be entering the final 12 months of his contract at the Anfield club. As such, Liverpool would be keen to sell for fear of losing him for free six months later.

According to the aforementioned Italian publication, Juventus are planning to submit an offer of around €34 million for Kieta when the transfer window reopens.

Considering that the midfielder is currently valued at €21 million and has an expiring contract, that kind of value would likely be a good price for Liverpool to consider.

Although it is far less than the €60m Liverpool paid for Keita back in 2018, it would still go some way towards helping the club sign other transfer targets.
