At the moment, Ralf Rangnick is in charge at Man Utd following the disappointing tenure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The German was appointed as caretaker boss in December, though he is expected to take up an advisory role behind the scenes at the conclusion of the current campaign.

A number of names have been linked with a summer switch to Old Trafford, with Tuchel now emerging as a candidate.

In normal circumstances, it would be extremely unlikely for a Chelsea manager to jump ship to Man Utd.

But, the future of Tuchel, the players, and Chelsea as a club is currently uncertain due to the ongoing situation with the takeover after Roman Abramovich was forced to sell due to UK government sanctions.

The former PSG boss, however, is unconcerned with the links to Man Utd.

"There's actually no reaction at all because do you feel me less committed to the club or less involved in the club in my situation? Absolutely not," he said when asked about the Man Utd reports.

"I've said many times that I love to be here, that I love to work for Chelsea and that this club has everything what it needs to make me happy. That's why there's no need. And we have plenty of reasons to stay in the moment here, and this is what we do."

Who is favourite to become Man Utd manager?

At the moment, the favourite to be Man Utd manager at the start of the 2022/23 season is current Ajax boss Erik ten Hag.

The Dutchman is regarded as one of the most talented coaches in Europe following his exploits with the Amsterdam side.

In recent weeks, he has emerged as the favourite ahead of Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino was the favourite for months, but he has saw his chances decline following PSG's disappointing performance in the Champions League as they were eliminated at the last-16 stage by Real Madrid.

Despite his comments above, Tuchel remains third-favourite for the job.

Brendan Rodgers and Antonio Conte make up the top five.
