How much could Chelsea sell Timo Werner for this summer?

Chelsea striker Timo Werner is set to hold discussions with manager Thomas Tuchel over his future at the Stamford Bridge club.

Werner has struggled over the course of his time at the Premier League side since joining for €53 million.

Although the Germany international has never looked entirely useless for Chelsea, Werner has only managed 19 goals and 19 assists for the club in 76 games to date.

As such, Werner has found his game time limited at the club this season due to the arrival of Romelu Lukaku and according to Goal the player is now considering his options ahead of the summer window.

So if Werner does decide to leave Chelsea this summer, where could he go and how much could the club sell him for?

Who wants to buy Timo Werner?

At the moment, the most likely buyers in the summer are Borussia Dortmund, who have held a long-term interest in Werner and would undoubtedly expect him to pick up where he left off in the Bundesliga.

Not only does Werner have a remarkable record in the German top flight - with 91 goals and 42 assists in 222 games - but he could also prove to be a viable replacement for Erling Haaland, should the striker depart this summer.

Werner has also attracted reported interest from Bayern Munich and even Manchester United in recent months, but it remains to be seen who would make a bid for the striker if he was put up for sale.

How much is Timo Werner worth?

Although Werner may not be a starter for Chelsea, there are still a number of factors that keep his value relatively high.

Not only does the striker have a long-term contract that is set to run until 2025, but he is also only 25 years of age. As such, his value has actually only increased since he joined Chelsea for €53m.

As things currently stand, Werner is worth €71m and could be sold for anything ranging from €53m to €89m in the coming summer transfer window.
