Paulo Dybala’s refusal to sign a new Juventus contract will have a profound ripple effect in the summer transfer market, with Liverpool one of those clubs who could be affected most significantly.

Dybala’s contract at Juventus expires at the end of June and he has no intention of signing a new deal.

An agreement appeared to be settled in the past, but after the Serie A side pulled that from the table only to offer a lower wage, any trust between the two parties appeared to be ruptured beyond repair.

Juventus, then, are exploring the possibility of adding fresh blood to their attacking line and, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, are considering a move for Liverpool ace Salah, whose own contract situation is complicated.

The Egypt international attacker’s deal at Anfield expires in 2023, and with the club having no intention of losing him for nothing, it appears that he will either sign a new contract imminently or be sold in the summer.

Could Salah sign for Juventus?

It is a move that even Juve feel is ambitious, and they have simply asked for an outline of the conditions that may be involved in any transfer for the moment. Not only are they asking about Liverpool’s transfer demands, but they also want to know what Salah, who has previously played with Fiorentina and Roma in Serie A, wants in terms of his wages and his ambitions.

Salah, it is reported, wants to boost his wage to around €12m next season. This is the figure that Juventus were initially offering Dybala, but crucially in the case with the 29-year-old, they would be given a tax break of 25% on his salary because he is arriving from abroad. This allows Juventus to be more competitive on that front.

Juventus, however, may struggle to match Salah’s sporting demands, having competed at the very top level with Liverpool for the last five years.
