Liverpool's Divock Origi set to sign for Milan
Liverpool forward Divock Origi is on the verge of agreeing a deal to join Serie A side AC Milan this summer.
The Belgium international, 26, joined Liverpool from French outfit Lille in 2015, but his contract at Anfield expires this June, leaving him free to talk to European clubs now.
The club who appear to have stolen the lead are Milan, and Italian giants are currently in pole position to secure a deal for the forward.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Milan are willing to offer Origi a contract worth between €3-4m per season, and are prepared to offer this soon.
The Belgian may yet extend his stay at Liverpool, but with just 71 minutes of Premier League action this term, and the January arrival of Luis Diaz, it seems his time at the club is coming to an end.
Milan, of course, have ageing duo Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovich to call upon right now, both former Premier League strikers, but Origi would add to their attacking compliment.
Calciomercato state that Origi is "slowly approaching" the idea of a move to Milan, while he has been linked with the switch by multiple news outlets.
Will Origi leave Liverpool?
Milan are currently top of Serie A after 30 games, holding a three point advantage over Napoli in second place. Their city rivals Inter are third, a further three points back. Champions League football looks secured, meaning Origi won't be losing European football if he chooses to leave Liverpool for Milan.
Despite limited game-time, Origi has still scored five goals and assisted three in just over 500 minutes in all competitions this season.
The Belgium international, who has 31 national team caps and three national team goals to his name, reportedly rejected offer from 'various' Premier League clubs, although these have remained unnamed.
For now, Origi looks set to join the Italian giants Milan this summer, ending his trophy-laden stay at Liverpool.
