Manchester United legend Roy Keane has admitted to a strange reason why he isn't a fan of Marcus Rashford.

Rashford, 24, has scored five goals in all competitions this season, and his future at Old Trafford has come into question.

The Englishman's contract is set to expire in 2023, although there is reportedly an option to extend the deal by a further year.

He is on course for his worst goal-scoring season of his professional career, and this form has sparked rumours of an exit from his boyhood club.

Rashford has made just 12 Premier League starts this campaign and with Erik ten Hag set for a summer overhaul when he arrives, the English forward could be one player who makes way.

Arsenal are one club who have been linked with a move for Rashford, but it remains to be seen if they pursue a move given their other transfer targets.

However, Keane has given a reason for his dislike of the player that's irrelevant to his potential departure or his form in front of goal, which is also a cause for Keane's concern.

What has Keane said about Rashford?

"Every time I see Marcus getting warmed up, he's always smiling, I don't like players smiling too much. You smile when you score, you smile when you do something. Not laughing all the time in the warm-up.

"He doesn't affect games anymore. He does very little. His performance last week, he played like a child. We just need to see something more.

"He's got to do more, I'm really frustrated with him."

Rashford could be one of up to 10 Man Utd players to leave this summer, which is a number current interim head coach Erik ten Hag drafted in a recent press conference after their loss to Liverpool.
