Three English clubs queuing up to sign Dean Henderson from Manchester United
With David de Gea having rediscovered form in 2021/22, Dean Henderson has only played 278 minutes for Manchester United’s first team this season and he is ready to depart Old Trafford on loan in the summer in search of more game time. Given how well the goalkeeper played for Sheffield United in the past and for Manchester United when given the opportunity, there are several clubs interested in making him their starter for 2022/23.
Some of the suitors aren’t quite Premier League clubs yet, even if they’re on their way towards the top flight, while there could also be an opening at a Europa League semi-finalist. Here, then, comes a look at the three teams with the most serious interest so far.

Dean Henderson to Fulham?
According to a report from Alan Nixon, Fulham are at the very front of the queue as they’ve held long-term interest in the 25-year-old. The London club are on the brink of promotion from the Championship, doing so with Paulo Gazzaniga between the posts at the start of the season before Marek Rodak took over. They believe Henderson would be an upgrade and want him as they aim to make this promotion stick.

Dean Henderson to Bournemouth?
Bournemouth are well-positioned to come up alongside Fulham and they too want to strengthen at the goalkeeping position if they make it to the Premier League, even though Mark Travers has done a good job wearing the gloves for the Cherries this campaign. There could, therefore, be a summer battle for the Manchester United shot-stopper between the two promoted teams.
Dean Henderson to West Ham?
The third team to have already registered serious interest is West Ham. The Europa League semi-finalists could sign current loanee Alphonse Areola to a permanent deal, while they also have the veteran Lukasz Fabianski. But, they are also keeping tabs on Henderson and have the financial muscle to offer him and United the best possible deal. Even if he won’t be guaranteed a starting job at the Hammers, they could be involved in Europe again and have enough minutes to go around.
