Arsenal and Tottenham handed yet another blow in the hunt for Dybala

Paulo Dybala will become a free agent this summer when his Juventus contract expires and the race to sign him has already begun.

North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are two of the teams linked with a move for the Argentine forward, with Antonio Conte and Mikel Arteta reportedly keen on adding the 28-year-old to their respective squads.

Arsenal will be without a recognised senior striker in their squad next season as the contracts of Eddie Nketiah and Alexnadre Lacazette are set to expire this summer, while Tottenham are said to view Dybala as a rotation option for Harry Kane and to provide depth in forward areas.

However, Inter are the more likely to secure a deal. FootballTransfers revealed in April that San Siro was the destination Dybala was most likely to end up at and Gazzetta dello Sport have also reported that Dybala has been convinced to join Inter to become a 'central' part of the Nerazzurri's team.

But, news from Corriere dello Sport has muddied the water for Arsenal and Tottenham even more.

They have reported that Borussia Dortmund have made an approach for Dybala as they prepare for the likely departure of Erling Haaland.

The Norwegian's release clause of €75 million is active this summer and it's believed that he will leave, with Manchester City leading the race.

Who will sign Dybala?

It has seemed for a while as though Inter were destined to sign the former Palermo star, but Dybala's head could be turned by the prospect of playing in a different league and taking up the role as the main man at the Signal Iduna Park.

The report suggests Dortmund have offered a net salary of €4.5m per year in order to try and convince Dybala to snub Inter and join BVB.

However, while Inter are still favourites, news of Dortmund's offer has put more pressure on Arsenal and Tottenham to present an attractive bid that could tempt Dybala to sign. At the moment, however, it seems as though Dybala won't be plying his trade in North London next season.
