Real Madrid’s victory over Liverpool in the final of the Champions League was not only massive for the club from a sporting perspective, but also financially.
The Blancos defeated the Reds 1-0 in Paris on Saturday, with Vinicius Junior scoring the only goal of the game in the second half.

Madrid’s win over Liverpool earned them a staggering €20 million alone in prize money just for winning that game.
For finishing runners-up Liverpool still took home an impressive €15.5m.
It completes a lucrative Champions League campaign for Real Madrid, with teams able to make as much as €85.1m in prize money throughout the competition.
Qualifying for the group stages earns each team €15.64m, while each group stage win earns a team €2.8m and a draw €930,000.
Real Madrid are also now guaranteed a further €3.5m in prize money for reaching the UEFA Super Cup final where they will play Eintracht Frankfurt. If they win that game, they will make an extra €1m on top of the €3.5m.
It has been a magnificent season for Real Madrid, who also claimed the La Liga title earlier this month.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti returned to the club for a second spell last summer, having been well down the list of preferred choices for the job.
He has since created history by becoming the first manager in history to win all of Europe’s five major leagues and also the first coach ever to claim four Champions League titles.
