Liverpool star Sadio Mane continues to be the subject of rumours linking him with a summer transfer to Bayern Munich.

The Senegal international star has enjoyed a banner campaign and is one of the leading contenders for the Ballon d’Or after helping his national team to Africa Cup of Nations glory before a domestic double of cups with Liverpool. The Champions League may yet follow.

With just one year left on his contract, though, Mane finds himself at a crossroads in his career and has been tight-lipped over what his future may hold. This contrasts with team-mate Mohamed Salah, who said that he is “sure” he will be at Liverpool next season.

It appears this could be the moment that the Reds cash in on the versatile attacker, with Bayern and PSG among the clubs who could move for him. The Bundesliga side appear to be comfortably ahead in the running, but how much will they pay for him and what is he worth?

What is Sadio Mane's transfer value?

According to a report in L’Equipe, Mane is close to a deal with Bayern that would see him switch to Germany for a fee of around €30m.

To many Liverpool fans, that would seem suspiciously low given the service he has given to the club since 2016 when he completed a move from Southampton.

Indeed, FootballTransfers algorithm, which was constructed by data analytics experts SciSports, would strongly agree with that perception.

According to our calculations, Mane is worth €47m.

This may seem like a relatively cheap price for perhaps the best player in the world over the 2021/22 season, but it must be remembered that he has just one year of his contract remaining and is now 30 years old.

Even accounting for the built-in error range in the algorithm, Mane should be allowed to leave for no less than €35m, while his upper price is €58m.

Given these figures, he is a player well in the transfer range of Bayern, who could see Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry depart this summer.
