Andreas Pereira to Fulham: How much will Man Utd make?
Manchester United are sell to offload midfielder Andreas Pereira this summer as they start life under the management of Erik ten Hag.
Ten Hag has arrived from Ajax and has immediately identified the midfield area as a position of weakness within the squad. Frenkie de Jong, his prodigy from the Eredivisie, is seen as the dream signing and reports suggest that a deal may be close.
However, his potential arrival isn't the only piece of business being conducted by Man Utd in the middle of the park. Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata have all already left the club on free transfers, and Pereira is set to be the latest to leave the club, albeit he will depart for a fee.
The Brazilian midfielder spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Flamengo in his homeland, one year after joining Lazio on a 12-month loan deal in 2020. His last appearance for Man Utd came in the Europa League last-16 second-leg victory against Lask in August 2020.
Pereira wasn't in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's plans and it seems he won't be in Ten Hag's either as it's been reported that Man Utd are listening the offers for the 26-year-old who initially joined the Old Trafford club as an U18 player back in 2012.
How much will Man Utd make from Pereira to Fulham?
Marcelo Hazan has reported that newly-promoted side Fulham are keen to sign Pereira this summer and have made an official offer to Man Utd. It's reported that the two clubs have agreed a deal in principle, with the fee set at €10 million plus a possible further €3m in bonus add-on clauses.
The report also details that Fulham have now turned to convincing Pereira to join and seal personal terms with the player. The Brazilian will once again become a Man Utd player when his loan move to Flamengo ends on 30 June.
Fulham are looking to add midfield depth following the news they released Jean Michael-Seri at the conclusion of the Championship season. The West London side are yet to make any new additions to their squad, leaving Harrison Reed, Tom Cairney, Nathaniel Chalobah and Josh Onamah as their current options in midfield.
Marco Silva's side have seen both Andre Zambo Anguissa and Fabio Carvalho leave the club this summer.
Pereira has played 75 times for Man Utd, scoring four goals and assisting five. He also scored a superb volley in a pre-season friendly against Brentford at Old Trafford last summer.
