Five Man Utd players who need a transfer this summer
The big transfer talking point around Manchester United right now in terms of outgoing players is Harry Maguire - but there are plenty more.
The club are set to lose a huge amount of players.
Already, Man Utd have briefed that they are looking to undergo a huge overhaul, a story first broken by FootballTransfers.
But there are many more who need transfers to relaunch their careers at greener pastures.
Here are five who must leave to have another chance at getting their careers back on track.
Harry Maguire
Maguire is the Man Utd captain, but his lack of game-time will possibly impede his England chances. He need to leave to another side who can provide him with a system that he needs to flourish.
The defender was one of the club's best performers not too long ago but days are long gone and now he must be moved on.
Eric Bailly
Manchester United are overstocked in the centre-back area and it appears to be Ivory Coast international Bailly who is the odd man out. Baily should be in his peak years and threatens to waste them as a peripheral player on the Old Trafford bench.
Having starred at Villarreal, it is clear that there is a high-quality player in Bailly, but he needs to get himself first and play first-team football. That won’t happen by staying put.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
The England defender has had his chance with Man Utd but has not been good enough to seize it. He lacks the offensive production that elite full-backs are expected to have in the modern game, but the sounds are that he will be set to stay.
It poses a bit of a risk - surely he would be better off finding a club where less scrutiny would loom over his head.,
It’s time to move on, both for the sake of Man Utd and the player.
Fred
Fred might have enjoyed a solid season at Old Trafford last time out, but it looks like he may become more peripheral under the new manager if they bring in Frenkie de Jong or another midfielder.
The Brazilian and Scott McTominay may well be the players to suffer, but while the academy product may be happy to tough it out on the bench and fight for his starting spot, Fred’s World Cup place could come under threat if he is not regularly utilised.
Scott McTominay
Things have gone stale for Rashford at Old Trafford and he looks like a player who needs a change. The midfielder is Premier League quality, and there will be suitors out there for him.
The lack of gametime means surely he will be looking for a way out. FootballTransfes revealed that he is liked by West Ham ahead of the window.
