Ronaldo’s time at Manchester United could soon be up after it was reported a few weeks ago that he wished to find a new club for next season.

The Portugal international is worried about the Red Devils' ability to challenge for trophies next season and is unhappy about the prospect of not playing in the Champions League.

As a result, agent Jorge Mendes has been offering his services to multiple clubs over the past weeks.

So far, it has been reported that the following clubs have been approached; Chelsea, Bayern Munich, PSG, Roma, Napoli, Sporting Lisbon and, most recently, Atletico Madrid.

And, Ronaldo is now willing to take desperate measures to get a move away from Old Trafford over the line, as CBS reporter Ben Jacobs explained when he discussed the latest development with FootballTransfers.

Cristiano Ronaldo's Man Utd exit strategy revealed

''Cristiano Ronaldo would be prepared to take a significant pay cut, with sources close to him saying that might even be as high as 30 percent,'' Jacobs said.

''What that tells you is that this is not about the finances; it is about Ronaldo being genuine in wanting to challenge at the highest level as his career comes to a close.

''He still probably thinks he's got two seasons at his absolute peak and he wants to maximise them.

''Atletico Madrid is a move that Ronaldo would be very open to, despite his links with Real, and now his side has to sell it to them and then work out whether Manchester United will entertain a permanent sale or a loan move.''
