Paulo Dybala has become the latest player to be linked to both Manchester United and Arsenal as Erik ten Hag and Mikel Arteta continue to identify the same transfer targets.

Dybala, 28, is now a free agent after his Juventus contract expired on 30 June, but he's yet to find a new home.

Inter Milan were heavily linked with the Argentine forward before the transfer window officially opened, but have waned their interest following the arrival of Romelu Lukaku on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

However, FcInterNews have reported that Inter are still interested, but were focused on bringing Lukaku back to the club first. The report also details that AC Milan are an option, while Jose Mourinho's Roma have also been linked previously as Dybala could potentially replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has joined Inter.

But, staying in Serie A is not the only option available to Dybala, as two Premier League teams have registered interest, while Atletico Madrid are keeping an eye on the situation.

Both Man Utd and Arsenal are understood to have called Dybala's agent, although it's reportedly only been to establish an understanding of the situation regarding Inter's interest. Even so, both clubs are clearly admirers of Dybala.

Despite already signing Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira, Arsenal are still keen to add more attackers to give Arteta the firepower needed to compete in Europe next season.

On the other hand, Man Utd are in desperate need of reinforcements in forward areas due to the departures of Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani following the expiration of their contracts.

In addition to this, Cristiano Ronaldo has told the club to accept any formal offers they receive for him this summer as he seeks an exit just one year after re-joining from Juventus.

Man Utd and Arsenal with the same targets

Dybala is far from the first player that both Arsenal and Man Utd have registered an interest in this summer.

The Argentine follows Lisandro Martinez, Youri Tielemans and Serge Gnabry in being pursued by both Ten Hag and Arteta.

The two clubs are fully interlocked in a battle for Martinez's signature, with Arsenal seeing two bids knocked back by Ajax, while Man Utd have identified him as a key target.

Tielemans was expected to join the Gunners, but talks have died down, and Man Utd are weighing up whether to pursue a move. Gnabry is reportedly available for £40m as his Bayern Munich contract is set to expire in 2023.
