Beniot Badiashile has been linked with a move away from AS Monaco for several years, but the Frenchman has slipped slightly under the radar in recent seasons as he continues to develop in the Principality.

Badiashile, 21, came through the Monaco academy before making his first-team debut in a 4-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in November 2018.

Since then, he has been a repeated Manchester United target, but he's never made the expected move away from his boyhood club.

With over 100 senior appearances at his young age, Badiashile is now being linked with a transfer away from Monaco yet again.

He helped the club to third place in Ligue 1 last season and could become their second major departure of the summer after Aurelien Tchouameni's move to Real Madrid.

That's because Badiashile has been linked with four clubs across Europe, all of whom are keeping tabs on his situation at Monaco. The defender's contract at the club is set to expire in 2024, meaning this is the final summer they'll be able to demand his maximum value before it begins to decrease as his contract nears its end.

Who is interested in Badiashile?

Nice-Matin have reported that four clubs are interested in signing Badiashile this summer: Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Man Utd and Newcastle. Eddie Howe's side are unlikely to make a move, however, after signing fellow left-footed centre-back Sven Botman from Lille for €40 million earlier in the window.

Newcastle reportedly bid €45m for Badiashile in January, but saw that offer rejected by Monaco, and must oblige by Financial Fair Play, meaning they may not have the finances to go back in for him.

Thomas Tuchel wants centre-back reinforcements at Chelsea following the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, and the Blues are in talks with Matthijs de Ligt, Nathan Ake and Jules Kounde. Badiashile is reportedly another option available to them.

Atletico Madrid are also in the hunt for a new centre-back, while Man Utd remain keen on improving their options in that position. The Red Devils have been linked with a move for Lisandro Martinez, but Arsenal are currently the front-runners and have submitted three separate bids to Ajax.
