Christian Eriksen has reportedly been offered a contract worth £150,000 per week to join Manchester United this summer.

Eriksen, 30, is currently a free agent after his six-month contract at Brentford expired at the end of last season.

The Danish international was forced to leave Inter Milan in 2021 following his collapse at the European Championships. To continue playing, he was required to have an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) fitted, which was not allowed by Serie A.

He became the first top-flight player to wear the device when he joined Brentford in January.

Eriksen scored once and assisted four times as he helped the Bees finish 13th in the Premier League in their first season in the division after their promotion from the Championship.

He has been linked with a more permanent return to Brentford this summer, but his former club Tottenham and Man Utd have both been reportedly interested in signing him.

Spurs have moved onto other targets, notably signing Yves Bissouma and Richarlison, but Man Utd remain extremely keen on signing him, despite the presence of both Bruno Fernandes and Donny van de Beek in their squad.

Erik ten Hag is currently undergoing a summer rebuild at Old Trafford, with as many as 10 player exits likely to occur this window. Frenkie de Jong, Tyrell Malacia and Lisandro Martinez are all top targets, while Eriksen remains a player of interest.

Eriksen offered Man Utd deal

In fact, the Sun have reported that Man Utd have now officially tabled a contract offer to the free agent. Eriksen is said to have been offered £150,000 per week to join the Red Devils this summer.

However, it's believed that Eriksen wants to wait to see who else Man Utd sign this summer before deciding to accept or reject their contract offer.
