Raphinha, Sterling and five transfers to be completed this week
The 2022 summer transfer merry-go-round is now in full-swing, and shows no sign of slowing down with several big deals set to get over the line in the coming week.
FootballTransfers runs through five moves that could be officially announced this week.
Raphinha
From: Leeds
To: Barcelona
Fee: €63m
Chelsea and Leeds had agreed a fee of around €63m for the Brazilian winger, and it seemed as if he would be heading to Stamford Bridge. However, Raphinha's favoured destination has always been Barcelona. And now the Blaugrana have received a cash injection, they have agreed a transfer fee of their own with Leeds. Personal terms have long since been settled, and Raphinha should be a Barca player soon.

Raheem Sterling
From: Manchester City
To: Chelsea
Fee: €50m
Raheem Sterling wanted the guarantee of more first-team minutes - something Pep Guardiola couldn't give him at Manchester City - and the England winger will now return to London, where he grew up, with Chelsea. The Blues are expected to announce a five-year deal, with the option of one more, any day.

Christian Eriksen
From: Brentford
To: Manchester United
Fee: Free
One of the biggest fairytales of the last year has been the story of Christian Eriksen. The Denmark legend almost lost his life after suffering a cardiac arrest at Euro 2020 but he incredibly returned not only to fitness but to be one of the best players in the Premier League at Brentford. Now he has agreed a three-year contract at Old Trafford.
Ousmane Dembele
From: Free agent
To: Barcelona
Fee: Free
Ousmane Dembele's Barcelona contract expired this summer, and the France winger had been linked with moves to Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea after his 13-assist La Liga season. But neither move transpired, and he is now set to agree terms on a deal with is worth 40 per cent less than the one he was offered in December.
Thomas Strakosha
From: Lazio
To: Brentford
Fee: Free
Another free agent, Albania No.1 Thomas Strakosha is set to sign for Brentford from Lazio under freedom of contract. The big shot-stopper kept seven clean sheets as Lazio finished fifth in Serie A last season, and will provide competition for the Bees' incumbent first choice, David Raya.
