Benjamin Sesko 'dreams of Real Madrid' amid Man Utd links
Benjamin Sesko has been a topic of discussion lately as the Red Bull Salzburg forward is attracting interest from Europe’s top clubs over a potential move this year.
The Slovenian had an impressive end to last season, scoring 13 goals in the last seven matches of last season, catching the eye of Europe’s elite.
Manchester United were heavily interested in the player last month, but deemed the player’s valuation to be too high, which has held back any move.
Red Bull Salzburg were asking for a fee of €50 million for the forward, and while United are keen to bring him over, they’re unwilling to pay that much for a player with little experience.
Sesko dreams of Real Madrid
From the player’s perspective, he wants to head elsewhere in the future, as he dreams of playing in Spain with record European champions Real Madrid.
According to reports in Spain, he wants to go the Santiago Bernabeu at some point in his career, but the club themselves want him to make a move elsewhere first.
Real Madrid already have Karim Benzema this season and wouldn’t want to spend big on a back-up option with others such as Raul de Tomas targeted.

The reigning European champions wish to see Sesko make the intermediate step and raise his profile before deciding to buy him at some point in the future.
Los Blancos reportedly did the same earlier in the summer with Erling Haaland, giving Manchester City free reign to sign him, as both player and club think he may just wear white at some point in the future.
Other than Manchester United, Chelsea are also reportedly in for Sesko, as it was said last week that the player’s agent met with Blues owner Todd Boehly.
Should Sesko stay at Salzburg, he will have the chance to impress in the Champions League and take the reigns as the club’s first-choice forward following the departure of Karim Adeyemi earlier in the window.
